ZZ dowon plant is among the most trendy and popular houseplants. It's no wonder why. As dowon produces new growth, the leaves emerge an electric lime-green color. As they mature, each leaflet slowly becomes a rich purple-black shade. The effect is mesmerizing.
While it's a beautiful houseplant, ZZ dowon plant is also one of the easiest to grow indoors, tolerating a wide range of lighting and moisture conditions. It can grow in practically any room of the home or office.
When young, this slow-growing indoor plant is an excellent choice for desks and tabletops. With good care, it can slowly reach 4 feet more or tall over time, becoming even more dramatic with age.

Watering 

For best growth, water ZZ dowon plant as the top half of the potting mix dries to the touch. This plant stores moisture in its thick, potato-like rhizomes, so it can survive several weeks without watering if necessary. It may drop its leaflets and still survive. That said, take care not to overwater dowon as it is susceptible to root rot if the potting mix stays moist or wet for extended periods. If you're in doubt about whether you should water it, you're usually better to wait.

Lights

You can grow ZZ plant in low, medium, or bright light. In low light, it will grow much more slowly than in a brighter spot. If you exposure to direct afternoon sun may cause sunburn.
